Martha’s Vineyard Portfolio

Glenn Tunstull resides in the Hudson Valley and is a summer resident of Martha’s Vineyard. He has exhibited for over a dozen years on the island at the Cousen Rose Gallery. His colorful interpretation of island life is emphasized by his use of a pointillistic brush stroke he calls “dashilism”. The dash like brush strokes add to the textural buildup on the surface of his canvases, giving added dimension. The popular artist’s openings are attended by a wide array of islanders, visitors and collectors who have come to know his work and follow the developments each year. Among the visitors include the current Governor of Massachusettes, Deval Patrick. Luminary book signings in concert with his exhibitions include Stephen Carter, Jill Nelson, Charlayne Hunter Gault, and Henry Louis “Skip” Gates.
